This beautiful Ecosure water butt planter is ultra slimline and a statement piece for your garden. Collect the naturally soft rainwater your plants love, whilst using the planter to create beautiful displays and all year round interest. Unlike cheaper alternatives, it is rotationally moulded from UV stabilised polymer (with a wall thickness of 6-7mm) and it is guaranteed frost-proof.
This water butt planter comes with everything you need to get started (except a drill), including a standard downpipe diverter and tapkit. Alternatively, you can buy a shut off valve with hose connector to replace the tap and water your garden at the turn of a lever. The beautiful laser cut stand is another optional extra, raising up the water butt to allow you to fill a watering can with ease. However, you can raise the water butt up using courses of bricks, concrete blocks or flat railway sleeper. Just remember to ensure that the water butt is supported along its entire length and is on a flat level base.

The 280 litre is available in many other variants, including standard black , baffled tanks and potable/drinking water storage. We can also manufacture these tank is a varienty of colours to your requirements. This is often a good idea if you're storing different liquids.

Do you need to upgrade to a filtered rainwater diverter?
For many of our customers the standard rainwater diverter, which is included free of charge, is perfectly adequate. It is efficient, diverting water from your downpipe and acting as an overflow when the tank is full. However, if the water from your roof contains debris such as leaves, twigs, or moss, you can upgrade to the Guttermate Filter Diverter . This uses a removable basket to catch the debris, allowing you to collect clean rainwater. As the 280 water butt planter is a sealed unit, it can be difficult to remove this debris once it has entered the reservoir.
