About the system

The Ecosure 5000 litre Rainwater Harvesting Tank is an automatic rainwater harvesting system which is used for collecting and suppling water on demand for both Domestic and Commercial use.

This system consists of an industrial strength MDPE (Medium Density Polyethylene) tank complete with pipework connections, self priming inline pump, water filter. This system offers great savings on mainwater consumpsion and help towards the environment.

We are proud to be part of the Made In Britain campaign. Ecosure Rainwater Harvesting Systems are designed and manufactured at our factory near Cambridge. Made with strength and ease of installation in mind, they combine real quality with excellent value for money.

Underground water tank

Quality is our priority. All our underground tanks are manufactured from the highest quality tank-grade virgin MDPE. They are rotationally moulded using a one piece mould and come with a 10 year guarantee against manufacturing defects. The integrated lifting eyes allow for easy manoeuvring and all our tanks are compatible with UK standard 4" (110mm) pipe fittings. The neck ring can be cut down to suit the location.

Underground filter

Made from the same high-quality MDPE as the underground water tank, the filter box can be installed anywhere along the inlet pipe between the tank and the down pipe. Ensure you can gain access to the filter for cleaning. Please note that the filter box lid is designed to withstand foot traffic only.

Rainwater pipe

This system comes with 25m of 25mm Rainwater Harvesting Pipe. This pipe can be easily identified be the Green strip running down Black pipe. This pipe must be used under the Water Regulations.

Back up in a box optional

This back up in box detects when the tank water level is running low and tops up the water level to ensure the tank never runs out of a water supply.

Mains Water Backup

Every system needs a mains water backup to keep the appliances going. The simplest way is a float switch and solenoid valve; the float switch detects when the rainwater storage tank is empty and opens the electrically-activated solenoid valve so that mains water flows into the bottom of the tank. When the float switch floats off the bottom of the tank it turns the solenoid valve off. The bulk of the storage tank remains empty ready to admit the water from the next rain shower.Water flow from a Rain Backup in a Box.
