This industrial strength water butt comes complete with a standard diverter and brass tap kit - all you need to get started. It is stylish and robust, combining a compact design with impressively high capacity. Ideal for the serious gardener and available in a range of attractive colours, it is UK manufactured and guaranteed frostproof. Made in our factory near Cambridge, we use the latest UV stabilised polymer so that the colours do not fade.

It comes with a fully removable lid, great for watering can access, or for a submersible pump. The high quality brass threaded bottom outlets allow for the connection of a hose or irrigation system so that you can drain the tank completely - but these outlets are sealed, so do not have to be used if not required. A perfect all-rounder!

Do you need to upgrade to a filtered rainwater diverter?

All rainwater diverters fulfil the same function; rainwater is diverted from the downpipe into the water butt, and then back down the downpipe once the water butt is full. The standard diverter is unfiltered, but works very efficiently when the water coming from your roof is relatively clean. The Guttermate Filter Diverter uses a small basket to catch debris. This basket should be removed and cleaned regularly. Both of these options fit standard 68mm round and 65mm square downpipes. The 3P Filter Diverter fits downpipes up to 110mm. It uses a stainless steel fine mesh barrel filter to divert debris, ensuring only high quality water is collected. This filter can be removed without dismantling the diverter, but needs less frequent cleaning.
